Sand Monsters offers an adrenaline-fueled escape on South Padre Island. Our six-acre adventure park features diverse terrains perfect for exploring in our high-performance side-by-side vehicles. Whether you're an experienced off-roader or a first-time rider, we have the perfect vehicle for you. Enjoy our 1/2 mile long track made of beach sand. It covers 3.5 acres and has lots of turns to challenge you. Each session lasts about 15 minutes including your introductory lap. Each car holds 2 people. Price is per car not per person. Off-Road Track

Youth / Mini Cars
Kids 10 years old and up can drive these cars. A parent or guardian must ride in the car with the youth until they demonstrate they can manage the track solo. These cars can be limited for speed also. For young drivers, the parent / guardian can work the gas peddle and let them steer. Parent or guardian should complete the insurance waiver for themselves and include the youth as a "minor" on the waiver. Save money by booking multiple cars at once! Multi-car discount applies to on-line reservations only and does not need to be used on the same day. Fill out the insurance waiver before arrival to speed up your check-in process.

Dune Tours - Daytime and Sunset
Join us for a guided tour of our private dunes where you follow our guide in one of our 4 wheel drive cars. Each car holds 2 people.
Sunset Guided Dune Tour lasts about 40 minutes and stops for 360 degree views of the Gulf of Mexico and the Laguna Madre to watch the sun set. They meet 30 to 40 minutes before sunset for check in, leave about 20 minutes before sunset and return about 20 minutes after sunset. Bring your favorite refreshment! Book on line to find available time slots. Please call if you're not sure what time sunset is going to be.

Daytime Guided Dune Trails Tour lasts about 15 minutes and cruises narrow trails and challenging terrain. Tour is approximately 15 minutes long. Check availability as it is only available during non-busy times.

Bring Your Own Side x Side
Bring your own side x side vehicle to run on our track during select times each week. Generally available from 3 to Sunset Tuesday through Thursday, and 4 pm to Sunset Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Also available from 9 am to noon on weekends and holidays. Reservations and waivers required for all participants
Cost:$40.00 for four 15 minute sessions per car. Each additional session is $10. You can change drivers in the same car. Sessions will have a break between them to sweep/rake the track and periodically as needed. A self timing system can be added for an additional $15.
Bring Your Own Side x Side - Night Sessions
Bring your own side x side vehicle to run on our track under the lights Tuesday through Sunday. Reservations and waivers required for all participants. For parking logistics, please call us with number of cars and length of trailers.
Cost:$45.00 for four 15 minute sessions per car - Two car minimum. Each additional session is $10. You can change drivers in the same car. Sessions will have a break between them to sweep/rake the track and periodically as needed. A self timing system can be added for an additional $15.
Courtyard Reservations
Reserve one of our two courtyards for private events such as birthday parties, picnics, team building, star gazing, and other group activities. Each side has waterfall features, seating and picnic tables. There are facilities for a food cart, BBQ, or bring your own treats. Courtyard 2 has views of the helicopters.
- Courtyard 1 is 32 x 36 = 1,152 Sq Ft.
- Courtyard 2 is 36 x 48 = 1,728 Sq ft.
Cost is $60 for the first hour and $40 for each additional hour. This is for 6 people plus an additional $5.00 per person after 6 people.
